The club meets once a week on a Thursday evening starting at8pm at St John's Church Hall, on Wawne Road, Sutton, in Hull. The club runs different classes to cater for all ranges of experience including the puppy courses which run for 8 weeks. Because of the way the puppy class is run it is best joined at the beginning of an 8 week session, at the end the puppies and handlers are given the opportunity to take the test at Bronze level of the Good Citizen Scheme. We hope that the handlers and dogs that join at puppy level will then stay and progress further onto the higher levels with us.

New members are welcome to join at any level and because the other courses are run continuously it is possible to join in at any stage. The training is rotated round so that whenever you join you will eventually cover all the different aspects and periodically the dogs and handlers are given the opportunity to take the Silver and Gold level tests from the Good Citizen Scheme.

We base the different classes on the Kennel Club Good Citizen Scheme as it structures different levels and provides tests at each level which are not only good fun but are rewarded with appropriate certicates, badges and rosettes for the handlers and the dogs. The overall scheme is run in a very positive way - the tests are structured to 'encourage' the dogs and handlers to pass with confidence. Look at the 'Good Citizens' page for further information on this scheme and how our dogs and handlers are 'paving the way' in this area.
